Costruzione di macchine
The module is intended to provide the base knowledge necessary to design and dimension main components of machines and mechanisms, emphasising their integration within complex mechanical systems. Some concepts related to the resistance of construction materials in the presence of dynamic, thermal and fatigue stresses will be taught. Students are expected to gain knowledge related to the design procedures of main machine components, with particular reference to the automotive applications, taking into consideration the various types of stresses missions and the interaction of components with other parts of the machine system. Knowledge of the content of the following modules is required: Strength and Mechanical behaviour of materials, Applied mechanics, Fundamentals of motor vehicle design. Practical classes Students will solve exercises in the classroom covering the topics dealt with during lectures.
